Is it ever explained why Quratar's Labyrinth is Michio's favorite? If it were me, I'd be running Vale's non-stop as it is only about 50 floors so I could subjugate it and get that title.

And since it's so new, it's a lot less busy than Quratar's so he could use magic much more freely. And every labyrinth shares the same monsters, just a different order, so it's not like there's better drops at one over the other.

And Warp negates most arguments about distance, because Vale and Quratar are not nearly as far apart as Quratar and Palmasque.

This series is equivalent to a soft porn so this should be included even Dxd has it.

I was just reading the Nars page to get a more robust feeling on the economy but I realized something seems a little ridiculous:

I quote from the page these two sentences:

• Fresh loaf of bread: 8 Nars

• Free Citizens (An Adult / A Freeman): 100,000 Nars

The first point is that a loaf of bread cost 8 Nars, while the second is that the yearly taxes of an adult citizen are 100k Nars. Now, is that a tax to remain a free citizen of the empire? Regardless of that, let's do some simple math.

We have a lady that sells bread. she bakes loaves of bread and sells them for 8 Nars each. Now, the lady has to make 100k before the tax collector comes at the end of the year or she becomes a slave.

100,000 / 8 = 12,500.

She has to sell 12,500 loaves of bread to get the tax money.

If we consider a year to be 365 days and do the following.

12,500/365 = 34.2465753425 we round it to 34.25 for convenience's sake.

The lady has to sell 34-35 loaves of bread per day every day for an entire year just to make up the required tax money.

Doing some googling, we get some rough estimates that around the medieval period, a bakery was made for every 500 people on average. With some further math and assumptions, we reached that a bakery could make 80 loaves a day. Thus with math, yet again.

80 * 365 * 8 = 233,600 Nars a year. Gross.

233,600 - 100,000 = 133,600 Nars a year left.

But now we note something of obviousness. The Lady does not get her ingredients for free. She has to acquire flour, water, a source of heat, rent for the shop or stall, etc etc.

And from the price list, we see that the rent (yearly) for a house is 50,000 Nars, 10-30,000 for a room. A shop at the front street would be, logically, more expensive to rent than a room. As for a stall, that is hard to say.

However, we will assume it is a shop because the lady has to bake her bread somewhere. And a single-room or small house would not be fitting to put a bakery in with a large oven and other tools.

So let us wave away the 33,600 and assume she is left with 100,000 Nars.

As we lack further data, we'll just be generous and hand wavium that 4 Nars is required to make 1 load of bread. That leaves 4 Nars as net profit.

And with that we can do more simple math and subtract half the gross from the remainder.

100,000 - (233,600 / 2) = -16,800

Wait a second... The Lady's in debt?! Let's do more hand wavium and shave off the 33,600 we assumed is rent.

-16,800 + 33,600 = 16,800 Nars.

With more googling, we will assume 80 loaves will weight 320lbs. And the average person of medieval times ate a little under a pound a day. So let's just 0.8 lbs a day.

The lady thus need, if she only ate bread.

0.8 * 365 = 292 lbs or 73 loaves of bread per year.

That's 73 * 8 = 584 Nars for food. (Not by * 4 as every bread she eats is one she does not sell)

Now she is left with 16,216 Nars.

The cheapest house rents for 50,000 a year while a single room for 10,000 minimum. So let's be, again, generous and assume 10,000.

She is left with 6,216 Nars. 62 silver coins and 16 copper coins.

She has to take a bath. She is a baker. Once per 7 days (Why am I doing this post again?) and hot water cost 20 Nars. 52 * 20 is 1040 Nars.

She's left with 5176 Nars. Add other expenses. She is a human and will get other expenses.

We didn't mention any kids. And in the above, 80 breads per day per bakery not baker. That means at least 3 people working in it.

In conclusion, due to tiredness and lost will to continue: No wonder parents sell one of their kids as slaves in the lore.

In further conclusion, I conclude with a clean finger and trimmed nails that the entire economy and world is built around slave trading for the sole purpose of the Mc being able to acquire and build a harem.

On a funny side note though. Kids have a yearly tax of 30k Nars while slaves have a tax of 30k the 1st year and 10k for subsequent years. Parents can make their kids slaves then 'buy' them, paying less taxes until the empire release a hotfix.

I just got to volume 7 and michio just got the bounty hunter and knight jobs my question or observation it seems a lot of the jobs are underpowered in that world most people have only one job that hard to change and it seems to have fix benefits you get at the start sure the high the level the more like a skill like the bounty hunter dead or alive skill has more of a chance of activating but the cook just got a larger item box, the alchemist as the ability to make medicine even the adventurer field walk all handy but what that do for you against a level 20 floor boss? I've read other series very similar first The world's strongest rearguard in the labyrinth country and the other My Dungeon Life that jobs gain skill or skill points to use on skills every level or every five levels they gain. It this to make life easier for the author or the world harder for michio or do the jobs get other skills and I missed something?

One final thing michio seems to ignore the knight defense skill to figure bounty hunter dead or alive it seems odd as he always going on about staying safe or being better protected

The MC already has a great Harem but a respectable person doesn’t touch the treasure of another.
