A new copy of the item is provided each time the points are spent. It is not known what happens to the item once the points are reset.
The item provided by the points cannot be reset for points if Michio is not holding it when he uses Character Reset. Likewise, if the item is somehow lost or stolen, the points spent cannot be recovered.
