Appearance[]
Brocken is an elf with blue eyes and long blonde hair.
Personality[]
Brocken can be described as a person with a strong sense of duty. He is a friendly and an approachable person, best shown when he speaks amicably with Michio, despite being a complete stranger.
However, he is also a bit ruthless, willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of his people and his tribe, even if it means apprehending his in-laws.

Brocken first appears in the story, when Michio was part of a relief group that was helping the Harz Duchy.
Abilities[]
As a duke, Brocken possesses a large amount of political, economic, and military power. He is also a skilled conversationalist and negotiator, which he uses to gain allies.
He is also an accomplished fighter, having entered dungeons and reached some of the higher floors.

Brocken's relationship with his grandmother-in-law is somewhat strained. Cassandra claims she regrets not preventing his marriage with Cassia. She considers him a pervert and is fond of recounting the mistakes he made in his youth.

Gozer North Braun Anhalt[]
Gozer is Brocken's trusted subordinate and friend. Gozer is always willing to follow the Duke's orders, as well as aid him in his duties as Duke.
Michio Kaga[]
Brocken has high hopes for Michio, and desires to have him become a member of his faction.
Enemies[]
Earl of Selmar[]
Brocken has an antagonistic relationship with the Earl of Selmar. Brocken was frustrated by the Earl's inability to deal with the Labyrinth in his domain. He ultimately lost patience with the Earl and organized a revolt against him to prevent Selmar collapsing and ensure it remained in elfin hands.
Rutina[]
Rutina initially detested Brocken for overthrowing her father and making her a slave. It is unclear what their relationship is now that Rutina has grown fond of her new life and realized her father's shortcomings. For his part, Brocken was willing to sacrifice his niece's freedom for the supposed greater good of realm. However, the fact that he arranged for her to be taken in by Michio (of whom he has a high opinion) suggests he does care for her wellbeing, albeit in a somewhat aloof way.
