Mio is a child who’s living in Somara Village. He’s presumed to be the son of Michio Kaga and Tirihi.
Appearance[]
He’s average for a 9 year old kid, in terms of his height. Standing beside his mother it can be seen that the top of his head is aligned with the bottom of her chest area. His eyes as well as his hair matches Kaga’s own in terms of color, with his hair being short.
Personality[]
He’s a polite kid as he addresses Kaga with mister upon leaving, which seemed to put a smile on Kaga’s lips. He’s a little shy which can be seen as Kaga offers him a sword, it could also be that he shows common sense and caution when talking to strangers and is well aware that being offered a sword by a person he doesn’t know isn’t something that should be regarded as normal. He seems happy as he says his mother is happy, and after getting the sword he enthusiastically runs back to her with the newly acquired sword that Kaga had given him.
Background[]
Very little is known about his upbringing as Kaga was away from the village during the kid's childhood. Upon meeting him at one of the villagers fields near Somara Village he asks him what helps planting and responds that he’s sowing Kyupiko plants. After further talking we learn that Mio listens to his mom and believes that his dad died before he’d been born. Kaga decides upon hearing that he listens to his mother to give him a sword which will help him protect her, he after a little encouragement he accepts it and says goodbye to Kaga as he runs to his mother.
Trivia[]
- The Sword given to him by Kaga has the skills Offensive power x5 and HP absorption. Considering that one of the objects which was left behind by Tirihi’s husband was a one-handed Scimitar with two skill slots available. It might very well be that Kaga had acquired the sword prior to his visit and made sure to fill out the two skill slots with skills he thought Mio might find helpful later on in life, as both of the skills will help him in protecting himself, the village and his mother.
- Bear in mind this is a storyline isn't present in the manga, and this' therefore a sneak peak into the web novel timeline where Kaga met Tirihi and explored Somara's village further.
