Rutina is the fifth party member and slave of Michio Kaga. She is also the daughter of the former Earl of Selmar, and cousin of Cassia.
Appearance[]
Rutina is a beautiful elf with long golden hair and blue eyes, much like her cousin Cassia. It has been noted that the two look very much alike.
Personality[]
Rutina originally had a headstrong and independent personality, stating she would be willing to betray Michio if it helps her in some way. She became meeker and more submissive after being disciplined by Roxanne.
Rutina is also rather proud of her background as a noble, often bragging of her past experiences, despite her current status as a slave. She also talks about how she will become a noble again in the future. Once she becomes more adapted to her new life as a slave she slowly loses this proud nature, having come to love her new life that, ironically, is far more luxurious than when she was a noble.
After witnessing the prowess of Michio and his party, she has developed a slight inferiority complex. Realizing that her family forced her onto Michio as a way to help her survive the world, he takes it upon himself to help her properly train and explore the labyrinths so as she will learn to survive and grow stronger. Once she gains the Wizard title, she grows stronger and begins to lose this inferiority complex.
Rutina was rather cold and aloof to Michio and the others after her family sold her as a sex slave for her own good, something even Michio was reluctant to take upon himself. As she spends time with him and the rest of the harem does Rutina slowly loses this haughty demeanor. Once she sees he really is a good man does she become warmer and humbler, now desiring to be at his beck and call just like the others.
Unlike her fellow harem members, Rutina was rather reluctant to engage in sex, being very shy naked with the other girls and in the bedroom. As she only allowed consent previously due to fear of displeasing Roxanne. However, her consent with him does become genuine after Michio is gentle with her like he is with the others and finds the ordeal quite enjoyable and comes to love Michio just as the others.
Background[]
Rutina had a rather pampered and sheltered upbringing for most of her life.
Cassia and Rutina are cousins, though they view each other as sisters. Their fathers were brothers. However, the former died (assuming at the labyrinth) and left Earl Selmar, the younger son, to pick up the mantle reluctantly. As a consequence of his previous upbringing, he would later prove his inability as a ruler and failed to subjugate the Labyrinths, endangering the people and thus forcing the Duke to do a forceful takeover in order to prevent the realm from collapsing and ending up in a non-Elf's hands.
Chronology[]
Rutina first appeared after her father was arrested under the orders of the Duke of Harz Duchy. She was then made a slave of Michio.
Abilities[]
Rutina has studied and is skilled in administrative duties common to nobles. In the WN, she is also a capable wizard, having attained most of the job requirements when she was young. In the LN, she didn't have any abilities to speak of, literally only being at Villager LV 1. However, she is a fast learner, and despite having never held a weapon before, she adapted to the spear relatively quickly. And it wasn't long before she got the Wizard job.

Rutina cares for her father, but understands that he has done a poor job as a noble. She later came to be ashamed of him for fleeing like a coward and leaving her to clean up his mess.

Rutina seemed to have received some advice about keeping money on one's person from her mother before she died.

Rutina looks up to her cousin Cassia and sees her as an older sister.

Rutina initially had a low opinion of Michio, seeing him as merely one of Brocken's pawns. She soon realized the depth of his abilities and has become somewhat depressed about her own abilities. Once she sees he really is a kind and trustworthy man does she lower her guard around him and comes to love him and enjoys having sex with him nightly and vying for his libido, just like the others do.
Roxanne[]
Rutina was originally dismissive of Roxanne, thinking that a slave was no threat to her. After Roxanne and Sherry "educated" her, Rutina has become both respectful and fearful of the wolfkin.

Rutina has become somewhat respectful and fearful of Sherry, after Roxanne and Sherry "educated" her.

She seems to respect the catkin's abilities, and is willing to make suggestions on clothing selection.

Trivia[]
- Rutina dreams of becoming part of the Lord's Assembly.
- Rutina was fed the special medicine as an infant to make her eligible to become a Wizard. Whereas in the LN, she wasn't even given that, since her father didn't want her anywhere near the Labyrinths.
- Before joining the party, the only experience she received was that her level was raised as an infant by being in a party with her father's attendants when they went to the Labyrinth.
- Rutina being originally from a noble family, she was already engaged in an arranged marriage, but upon losing her position, her engagement was also canceled.
- Rutina despite having been engaged in marriage, she did not know her fiancé.
- In the WN, Rutina showed resistance and scorn towards Michio who she viewed as a cronie of the Duke, but then she eventually warmed up to Michio and grew accustomed to her new life. Whereas in the LN, that story was wiped clean along with her development, and Rutina has already become submissive and meek and allowed Michio to wash her and bed her on the very night of her enslavement.
